- Tournament rounds will pair teams against one another partly based on aggregate rating, which is the partners’ NWSRS ratings added together.
- This event is open to all WA state students. It is not necessary to have qualified for the State Championship,
- During the signup, page you will be asked to name your child’s preferred partner. We suggest that kids try to plan who they would like to pair up with, but this is not a requirement. We will help find suitable partners as needed for unpartnered kids on the day of the event.
- Chess clocks are required for bughouse play. We can provide some, but there is a very limted quantity, so please bring yours and please consider sharing an extra clock if you have one.
- Teams are strongly encouraged to dress in matching t-shirts, fun hats, or costumes! We will have special prizes for the most creativity!
